(via hello-sally)
so…..we did it!!!!!
We completed the 100km ride challenge in about 5.5 hours and IT WAS THE HARDEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE.
Exhausting exhausting exhausting!
We had two rest stops - one at 40km and one at 80km. At around the 70km mark I really started to feel it and I started to wonder whether I was going to make it. Then at about the 75km there was this huge hill and it nearly broke me. BUT I pushed through it to the rest stop and had a bit to eat and a small break & it then it was all good.
So so proud of us - especially boyfriend and I because it was the first time we had done it but also proud of my dad and brother (it was their third time completing it).
And in the process my boyfriend raised $320 for Diabetes!
We can’t wait to sign up for more events like this!

We did the bike challenge on Sunday. It took us 5.5 hours! I’m a little bit busy at the moment so I’ll do a proper update later on tonight! <3
So basically just write in your favorite song to work out and then reblog, that way theres a huge train and everyone can get new songs. sounds good?
Nicki Minaj - Superbass
Bruno Mars - Runaway Baby
Once I reach GW3 (hopefully next week… eeep) I’ll pick the winner and post it out within a week of receiving details, INTERNATIONALLY if need be. If the winner doesn’t respond within a week, I’ll pick another.
I’ll copy and paste the notes into Word and number them, then use a random number generator to pick the winner. Therefore, every like & reblog counts as an entry (fair use applies, please don’t excessively reblog this post - your entries will be ignored). You don’t need to follow me, I only ask that you be a weight loss/health/fitness blog of some sort.
What’s up for grabs:
- ONE of my favourite health/fitness magazines
- The closest thing to a Larabar in Australia - Go Nautral FruitNut Bars
- My favourite low cal treats - Slim Fruit Pastilles & Jarrah Fudge Frenzy Chocolatte
- My favourite mascara - Maybelline Falsies (guys, if you win i’ll change this one)
- A few other bits & pieces for good measure ;)
You girl! GW3!

Did an easy 5kms to clear the head. Stupidly I ran at about 2pm though so it was really hot and I was feeling it the whole way. Summers near, no more runs before 4pm!
It’s a really beautiful day out there though.

The run did it’s job and cleared my head. I’ll try and start work on a different essay and put the annoying one aside for awhile.
Ah I can’t wait for the day (November 16 exactly) when exams and study are over and I can do some proper running training and races.

ARGH! Major stress from essay writing. Deadlines are looming & I’m going nowhere with them. I am going to go run to soothe my soul.
